Salad could be very fattening and unhealthy depending on the dressings and toppings used. Some salad dressings are full of artificial flavoring, fat, and sugar.
Salad dressings made with fresh veggies not only are healthy, but very tasty! Today, we are introducing a recipe for "Basil and Onion Salad Dressing".
Studies suggest that onions may lower high blood pressure, reduce heart attack risk, and even help protect against cancer. Basil is rich in beta-carotene and magnesium, an essential mineral that serves to keep and maintain a healthy heart. It also contains arginine, which prevent sterility and lowers blood sugar. Basil also helps stimulate the formation of hormones androgen and estrogen.
Ingredients:
Onion 1
Basil 20-25g
Dijon mustard 50ml
Vinegar 220ml
Mineral salt 1/2tbsp
Black pepper ½ tsp
Red pepper, garlic as you like
(Optional) Grapeseed oil 70ml
How to make:
Mix all ingredients in a blender.
If you prefer oil-free dressing, omit the grapeseed oil. If you prefer creamy dressing, add more grapeseed oil.
