8 Things You Can Do To Help Reduce Appetite

The biggest obstacle when trying to lose fat is the appetite. How can you overcome your appetite and accomplish your fitness goals? 

Here are 8 simple tips on reducing your appetite.

1. Chew at least 30 times per bite. Schedule enough time for meals so you don't have to eat fast.

2. Do resistance training and/or high intensity cardio training.

Chewing and exercising at high intensity help secrete GLP-1 hormone which helps reduce appetite.

3. Sleep at least 7 hours a day.

4. Avoid overly high stress and/or find way to reduce stress other than eating or drinking. (Exercise, listen to music, incorporate aromatherapy, etc.)

Leptin is a master hormone that controls appetite. High stress, lack of sleep, and overeating leads to Leptin resistance, which is sensed as starvation, thus leading to extreme appetite.

5. Brush your teeth right after meal. 
It helps you stop eating after meal.

6. Put food away from your sight except for mealtime.

7. Color your room in blue. 
The color blue  helps reduce appetite.

8. Drink carbonated water. 
It helps the brain sense your stomach is full.
